You will admire panoramic views over the Neva and beautiful central squares as we drive down the central prospects and city-streets. You will see all the worldwide famous landmarks of the city: the Spit of Basil (Vasilievsky) Island, Saint Isaac's cathedral (one of the most widely-known landmarks) the Bronze Horseman - an equestrian statue of Peter the Great on Senate Square, the Field of Mars, the cruiser Aurora and, of course, the picturesque Palace embankment and jaw-dropping Palace Square – the heart of the city that witnessed so many dramatic events, the Winter Palace, Mikhailovsky castle and many others. During the city tour you will visit the grounds of The Peter and Paul fortress, take a walk around the island to see all the highlights. In St. Peter and Paul’s Cathedral you can see the burial place of the Romanovs – the Russian royal dynasty. Next, you will head towards the famous Kazan Cathedral to observe its interiors. Be aware – it is a place of prayer and contemplation, so please try to keep your voices quiet as you share your emotions, gazing at its gorgeous interiors. At about 2 p. m. you can either return to the hotel or stay in the city centre to explore it on your own. In order to make your trip unforgettable we are glad to offer also an optional extra for this day: Folk Show in Nikolaevskiy Palace: Nikolaevsky Palace today is not just one of the luxury palaces of Saint Petersburg – it is also a place running a magnificent Folk Show "Feel Like a Russian"(Feel yourself Russian). The precious interiors of the Palace are undeniably gorgeous and literally breathe history, while the Folk Show presents the best of Russian culture through wonderful voices of singers and incredible skills of Russian folk ballet dancers. Being a guest of the Palace, you can feel like a real Tsar’s guest. A fascinating folk-show, telling about the history and culture of Russia by means of fantastic performance. Bagatitsa is a Cossack’s name for a bonfire, and indeed the folk-show itself is as bright, colourful and eye-catching as a burning flame. Cossacks’ descendants can be quite frequently met in St. Petersburg, as Cossacks traditionally played the role of royal family guards. Every performance of Bagatitsa show - be it a song or a dance - represents a scene of Cossacks' life. Love and passion, mourning or celebrations - the language of folk performance is always clear to the audience, regardless of their own mother-tongue. Daily at 7 PM or 9 PM the show lasts about 2 hours during which Traditional Russian snacks and beverages will be served during the intermission. (canapes with caviar, ham, smoked sausage, cheese, fruit, strong and soft drinks). Transfer to hotel. Overnight in Saint-Petersburg.
